Once upon a time a story began- about an village of cirles. But, as usual, there was a cast out- an oval named Ovela.
She wanted to be a fireman.
But discrimination against her through her teenage years made her depressed
And suicidal.
All of the circles said she wasn't strong enough
Or smart enough
Or round enough to rescue people from the flames.
One day Ovela was in her school when the firedrill rang- "A drill"? She thought. So did everyone.
But suddenly the doors started to close
Ovela rolled as fast as she could! Rolling faster and faster and faster- She was in the doorway of a closing door
She jumped sideways and was just long enough to let the other circles roll out.
She was a hero
Just because she wasn't smart or strong
She was round enough after all
